India - the filthy side

I have been to Varanasi and Puri Jagannath temple. I have seen and perhaps lived in a somewhat similar untidy situation (even have actually swam in the Ganges water). But these pictures surprisingly raise a lot of questions on why it cannot  be a better place? I do not question the religious beliefs but shouldn't it be tangential to tidiness?

Abandoned six flags - New Orleans

It is quite amazing to see how powerful mother nature could be. The six flags at New Orleans that was opened by 2003 was abandoned after the Katrina hurricane completely destroyed the place. Look at the pics from the below link, even though it is illegal for trespassers.
